Yes. If you install the included NTI Backup Now EZ software on each system you wish to backup you can perform both Full System backups as well as File and Folder backups separately from each computer. You can also simply drag and drop files from any PC to which you connect the Canvio 3.0.

Plug your TOSHIBA drive into your 3,0 USB port and then look at your computer to find out the ports letter
C: is your computers HD
D: is usually the CD DVD Drive
and every port that your computer has has a letter, if nothing is plugged into it it wont show up
Once you have your USB Drive Letter you set up a file on it called Photos or whatever and move everything over.
You can also use Picasa to upload all your finished edits to the cloud and have double back up PLUS share them with anyone you chose.

Actually it works the same as the flash drive would, both being an external USB device. First transfer your files to the device from the source computer. Once the device is safely remove from the source device, plug it into the receiving computer. After the USB device is recognized you can move or copy the desired files to the hard drive using Windows Explorer.

Your computer assigns a drive letter to all your data ports USB/Photo Cards etc.
lets say you have External drive F: and want to transfer over to external drive
H: well just tell windows to move/transfer F:/filename to H:/filename
