1) BEFORE downloading any app, be sure your Tablet's operating system is up to date. Use the TOSHIBA Service Station utility to do this. This will make a difference when you download an app initially, and also in the app's performance once installed.
2) Apps should be downloaded DIRECTLY from Google Play (
http://play.google.com), as it senses the device you are on at the time. When searching for an app be sure to include the phrase "for android" after the name of the app. Otherwise the search engine may point you to a phone app, which may not be compatible with the tablet's higher operating system.
3) If you are still getting an error message, contact the support department of the app manufacturer.
OR check their website for the app's SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS.
VIBER has a compatibility list of Android tablets. The Thrive Tablet (10-inch) is not among them presently. Note: That is another thing. Compatibility lists are updated on a regular basis. For example, when the Thrive Tablet first came out, neither Skype nor Netflix were support. Now both are supported.
http://helpme.viber.com/index.php?/...WHATSAPP is also not currently compatible, as their website states: "We do not support tablets or Wi-Fi only devices at this time." Please remember when checking compatibility that an Android phone is a totally different device type than an Android tablet. Here is the reference on the Whatsapp website:
