Question

I have added a new Toshiba TV to my computer for viewing but the clarity is very poor. How can I adjust the picture to be more clear?

I have a 32L2200U tv.....and it is hooked up to the computer by the "PC" connection on the back of the TV. The clarity of the picture is not very good at all....almost to the point it is hard to view for any period of time....

Thanks

Try hitting the PIC SIZE button repeatedly to cycle through the various modes. One of them might look better for you. You might also want to change your computer’s display resolution to 1366 x 768 when connected to the TV.

Question

Optimizing display with HDMI connected PC

Wasn't sure how to do this.
Some forum posts mention that there is a feature called overscan that needs to be configured on the PC's graphics card.

However, I was able to find a workable solution in my Intel graphics display card, which allowed me to set custom aspect ratio scaling settings for the card, and further adjusting of both horizontol and vertical scaling percentages. This feature allowed me to optimize the settings.

However, since I just bought the new LED tv from Toshiba, figured that this feature would be automatic given all of the other in-built features of this smartTV.

Hope that helps someone in the interim.

Without a model number, I can’t give a direct link. From the support site, click “Product Support” at the top. Select your model and click “Go.” From the next page, click the “User’s Guide” tab.

Without a model number and a description of what device is playing the DVD and how it’s connected, I can’t provide much help. You may want to contact customer support.

Your DVD player may be connected to your DVD into the shared ColorStream HD / Video inputs while using standard video (composite) cables. Try looking in the video preferences and changing the shared input mode from ColorStream HD to Video.

That means that the incoming signal is only 720p. If the signal is 720p, then it’ll be displayed in 720p.
