You can use the “Easy Setup using PIN” to connect your TV to a router that also uses that type of setup. Where you enter it will depend on your model of wireless router. Note that not all routers use this method.

This depends on the TV, and you didn’t include a model number. You should be able to use the “MENU” button on the remote to change video settings.

You can connect a DVD player to your Toshiba TV, but it usually isn’t possible to play a DVD from a TV/DVD combo on another TV unless that TV/DVD combo was specifically designed to do so.

That TV has analog audio output and digital audio output. How you connect your headphones depends on what connection they have. If they use the small, standard headphone jack, you’ll need to use an adaptor to connect it to the analog RCA ports.

Without a model number, I can’t give you specific instructions. Your TV should have an Ethernet port that you can use to connect to a network router. Many TVs also have built in Wi-Fi that can be used. For additional information, see your user’s guide. From the support site, click “Product Support,” pick your model, click “GO,” and then click “User’s Guide.”

Question

TVs internal speakers wont stay off.

This question was asked awhile back and here is also the answer given but it does not solve the problem:

Can you turn off internal speakers in TV?

I am using a Polk Audio soundbar with my model 46sl412u LED TV. They have advised me to turn off the internal speakers in the TV in order to get optimum sound. How can I do that?

For detailed instructions on how to operate your TV, you can check the owner’s manual. Note that the volume settings on the TV do not alter the volume of the optical digital audio output. If you are using an optical connection to the soundbar, you can simply turn the volume on the TV to 0. The owner’s manual can be found at the following address:

***********************************************

I have the EXACT same problem. The solution does not work though. I hooked up a Boston Model TVee 25 sound bar with an optical cable. The sound bar does not come with its own remote. It comes with instrucions on how to program the satellite or TV remote to work the sound bar. I have everything working, HOWEVER, when ever I turn the volume up or down on the sound bar, it turns it up or down on the TV as well and you wind up with both the soundbar and the tinny speakers of the TV working at the same time. The solution to turn the sound to "zero" or "mute " does not work because as soon as you use one of the remotes to turn the volume up or down the TVs speakers come back on. There needs to be a way to go into the menu and turn the TVs internal speakers to "OFF". Why would any TV have a digital output to hook to an external sound source and not have a way to shut off the TVs internal speakers? Everytime I turn the volume up or down I have to keep hitting the mute button twice for the TVs speakers. Thats idiotic. is there no way around this?
