please explain the difference between an A660 and A665 machines.
Also the A660 seems to have a 120 w AC Adapter and the A665 type has a 90 w or even 60w please explain whether I need to be concerned about power consumption with A660.

I understand that the A660 is customizable and is sold directly by Toshiba . the A665 version is somewhat the same machine but it is prebuilt and is sold in stores.
The Intel core I7 (A665 or A660) can use a 120w AC adapter, and sometimes a 90W AC adapter depending on the modifications.
One question is how much additional time / life is gained by using an extended life 6 cell/61w LI-on battery pack vs the 6 cell/48w pack?
I dont want to go to a 12 cell (heavy) pack.

Great question. Both the laptop AND the game or movie must be made for 3D.

Just a bit confused here: every Satellite A660 model has an LED Backlit display, but only select models have an LED Backlit Keyboard.
The description "LED Backlit Display" means the system display is composed of Light Emitting Diodes with light emanating from the back, as opposed to the sides. Advantage: a backlit display will be brighter since the light is direct.
LED Backlit Keyboard: only select Satellite A660 models. Follow the link below to see them. Check the User's Guide for keyboard settings.

The Satellite A665-S6086 does not have Bluetooth; instead it has integrated Intel® 4G WiMAX™. Bluetooth may be added to any laptop through the USB port using the Toshiba Bluetooth™ V2.1+EDR USB Nano Adapter (PA3710U-1BTM). Check it out: http://us.toshiba.com/accessory/PA3...

The Satellite A665-3DV5 does not have a backlit keyboard per the specs posted. (See below). Alternative 3D systems with a backlit keyboard include: Satellite A665-3DV and Satellite A665-3DV8. If you feel an error was made, please contact the seller.
